Itinerario

🌄 Day 1: Sacred Pilgrimage – Cusco to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)

🌅 Early Departure (4:30 AM)
We begin our sacred journey in the stillness of the early morning. At 4:30 AM, we pick you up directly from your hotel in Cusco. As we journey through the quiet highlands, the sun begins to rise over the Andes, painting the skies in gold and soft lavender. The drive lasts approximately 3.5 hours, offering breathtaking views of multicolored landscapes, snow-capped peaks, and herds of alpacas grazing freely across the puna grasslands.

🪶 Arrival & Andean Blessing Ceremony
Upon arrival at the trailhead, we pause to honor the sacred spirit of the mountains. In a moment of deep reverence, we gather in circle to offer the k’intu — the sacred coca leaves — and ask for permission from the powerful Apus (mountain spirits), especially Ausangate and Vinicunca, to enter their domain.

With the ancient blessing of the coca, we begin our pilgrimage on foot, ascending the path that winds its way through otherworldly terrain toward Rainbow Mountain.

⛰️ Summit & Ñapaykuy Ritual (Sacred Inca Greeting)
As we reach the summit, standing before the radiant colors of Vinicunca, we take a sacred pause. In this elevated silence, surrounded by the awe-inspiring majesty of the Apus, we perform the Inca Ñapaykuy — the sacred gesture of greeting and connection.

Here, we open our hearts and awaken our ñawis (energetic centers or chakras), breathing deeply the pure mountain air, allowing the energy of the land to harmonize our emotions, thoughts, and spirit. It is a moment of alignment with the cosmic love and wisdom that flows through these sacred lands.

🌺 Offering to Pachamama
With gratitude in our hearts, we come together to offer a small despacho (offering) to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus, expressing our love, respect, and intention. This ceremony reconnects us with the ancient Andean tradition of Ayni — sacred reciprocity.

🍽️ Descent & Nourishment
After soaking in the energy, taking photos, and simply being present with the land, we begin our descent. Along the way, we enjoy the panoramic beauty of the Andes once more, followed by a nourishing local lunch to replenish our bodies.

🚌 Return to Cusco
Our journey concludes as we return to Cusco in the late afternoon, our hearts full, our spirits lifted, and our connection to the land and ourselves renewed.
