Welcome to this special and sacred journey to Choquequiraw (cradle of gold) Peru inca energetical spot; days of tronsformation, connection, healing, culture, music, hike, knowledge, experience and adventure, ect. mixture of landscapes during the whole pelgrimage, more quiet, less people what exaltly you want,  a lot of inka knowledge, spiritual improvemet.

Upon arrival to the airport of Cusco, youl will be welcomed by willkapacha experience representative who is going to drive you to your hotel, andean natural medicine coca or muña te and climatization.

Day 01: Cusco – Cachora – Playa Rosalina

We leave Cusco very early in the morning 4:00 am by a private vehicle and drive you  cross the Andes towards cachora-capuliyoq (9550 ft / 2911 m)  the starting point, arriving  approximately at 8:30 am. We will enjoy a delicious breakfast together with the magical view of glaciar peaks and choquequiraw mountain. Time to start our pilgremage, the sacred leaves of mama coca will help us making easy and understardable our hike the whole way and a protección. Along the way, you can enjoy some absolutely stunning views of the Apurimac canyon – one of the deepest in Peru, and spectacular panoramas of the different landscapes: from the highlands of Peru to the dense vegetation of the cloud forest. We arrive lunch spot chiquiska, after that free afternon to share the inca cosmovisión, lateron dinner continue our journey down to playa rosalina (1478m  / 4849ft), our tents and a hot drink will be waiting for us ready later we will have dinner and camp for the night.

Day 02: chiskiska – Marampata – Choquequirao

After a nutritive breakfast, we  will get ready to continue a short hike down to the botón of the canyon and to start the most challenging rewarding days of your willkapacha experience, we are going to start a gradual ascend to Marampata (2,850 m/9,350 ft), the trek gets harder but remember every effort will have its reward; however, it offers spectacular views of the deep Apurimac River Canyon and the river itself that is the main tributary of the Amazon River! We can also spot condors soaring in the mountains if we are lucky! When we get to Marampata, we have lunch at a picturesque spot with breathtaking  views of the mountains and the river, a short rest them around 4 pm, we will arrive to the enigmatic and fabulous Cradel of Gold – Choquequirao (3,100 m./10,168 ft)! The city is even  considered bigger in extension than the Sancturary of Machu Picchu!  Our campsite is located right next to the archaeological site and so you have the freedom to visit this mysterious place at any time you like and as many times as you like, whether its to enjoy the sunset, sunrise or just for a some quite time And we offer our coca ceremony up in gratitud to be there.

DAY 03: CHOQUEQUIRAO

We will wake you up bright and early with a nice cup of hot coca tea or coffee to witness the amazing sunrise over the mountains. After breakfast, we have all  day to explore, know and connect  with this magnificent inka city. Teaching you about the inka knowledge, life in the ancestral way, spiritual techniques and  practices to improve your own connection;  Choquequirao(cradle of gold)is nicknamed the twin brother of Machu Picchu because is almost   same size of it. One of the most beauties  the lama sector (the cosmic lamas represented there from the milky way constelations) and sacred plazas. Lunch at same place afterwards free time to meditate and practice to make your own despacho offering, going back the camp a night of stars dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: CHOQUEQUIRAO – MARAMPATA – LA PLAYA – CHIKISKA

We will wake up for a second time is this magical place. After breakfast time to continue the way back by the same path to Marampata and it is a 3 hours downhill trek to our lunch spot at Santa Rosa (2230 m / 7300 ft). Afterwards We will continue downhill for a further 2 hours, before trekking uphill for another 2 hours, until we arrive at our campsite at Chiquiska (1800m / 5905ft). This is a perfect day to enjoy the surrounding landscape and nature. We will pass a wide range of different flowers and birds along the way and the sound of waterfalls can be heard in the distance. A nice shower, dinner and tens overnight.

 DAY 5: CHIKISKA – CAPULIYOC – CUSCO

On our final day, we will get up, have breakfast and prepare for our last 4-hour trek uphill to Capuliyoc. Here we will have a Delicious lunch pachamanca (a way to cook in the ground naturaly with hot-stones) and say goodbye to our team of chefs and porters that have accompanied on this expeditions. Later on we will take our private transportation to the archaeological site of Saywite; a beautifully carved rock that remains a mystery to archaeologists. You will have plenty of time to explore before we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel around 6 pm. Thanks.

Below is a list of items that we highly recommend you keep with you at all times in your personal backpack. Remember you will be carrying this with you every day of the trek so we recommend you bring a good quality daypack which is both light and comfortable.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR YOUR DUFFEL BAGS:

Incase you need we provide a duffel bag in which you can pack any items that you won’t need to keep with you during the day. Our horses  will carry this bag for you throughout the hike. Please note this bag should weigh a maximum of 8 kg including the weight of your sleeping bag and air mattress (if you bring/rent one). When rented from us these two items weigh approximately 3.5 kg. During the Trek you will travel through different temperatures as you climb/descend, it can also be cold at night when at the campsite. Therefore layers work best!
